an old love -- playing in a band with friends! ***
-- If you're
going to be in Los Angeles this weekend, you'll be able to catch Richard
playing with THE NEIGHBORS at the Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas!
The band is scheduled to take the stage at 8:00pm PT tonight (Friday,
August 27th).
The band's Myspace page gives the following introduction to THE NEIGHBORS:
The Neighbors were originally formed in the Bay Area by Colby Pollard,
Randy Brown and Joe Hester. Colby and Randy grew up next door to each other
and Joe and Randy are cousins. The band was based on life-long friendship,
artistic support, and unbridled fun. New member Rich Dorsi is a friend
from way back and a true kindred spirit. The Neighborhood is now complete.
Musical influences are wide, ranging from The Beatles, to Bruce, to traditional
folk. Their self-titled debut cd is "full of hook-laden music saturated
with energy, excitement, and substance". Collectively and individually
The Neighbors have played with many artists including Neil Finn, Brian
Setzer, Lyle Workman, Terry Reid, Norton Buffalo, Huey Lewis, Steven Stills,
The Everly Brothers, and Smash Mouth.

Burgi on IFC (Independent Film Channel) when "Hostel: Part II" airs Saturday,
August 28th at 12:15am ET***
-- Richard worked in Prague, Czech Republic
in late October 2006 on the much-anticipated sequel to writer-director
Eli
Roth's
horror blockbuster, "Hostel."
Eli Roth gave MTV.com some teasing details on "Hostel: Part II,"
including an idea of how Richard's character Todd Rogers and his
buddy
Stuart (Roger Bart) McGenty fit into the overall story.
Said Roth:
"The film is also following two guys who go through this experience
to kill somebody. And we know them really well, and they are very, very
likeable and they're very normal. It seems like there's nothing psycho
about them, except they are looking for some excitement in their life because
they are bored. ... That's going to be a parallel story. We see it
from the girl's perspective and we see it from the client's perspective.
We inter-cut both stories until they all meet in this horrible place. So,
we're going to learn everything about the organization, all the minutiae
of it..."

of "Just Shoot Me" airs on TBS in August ***
-- Richard plays action
hero -- and Mama's boy -- Robert "The Nomad" Galatin in "Mum's
The Word," airing Saturday, August 28th at 9:00am ET.
Nina Van Horn (Wendie Malick) is returning to the Blush offices
when she literally walks into famed action hero Robert Galatin, who is
filming an episode of "The Nomad" on the sidewalk outside.
Each is immediately smitten with the other and Robert is soon eagerly
pursuing Nina, appearing in the Blush offices with flowers in hand. Nina
accepts Robert's invitation to an evening of romance, never expecting to
be joined by Robert's diminutive, yet domineering, mother.
Natually, the two women are almost immediately at odds, and Nina tells
Robert he must send the aged materfamilias packing if he expects to win
her affections. Robert quickly gives Mother her marching orders and
turns his eye towards the approving Nina. Unfortunately, Mother's hold
on her son is strong, and the sight of her shawl sends Robert reeling,
becoming increasingly frantic and filled with doubt until he is bawling.
When an insistent tapping on the door proves to be Mother, Robert drops
to his knees and wraps his arms around her, crying "Oh, Mother, Mother,
never leave me, never-never!"
Nina takes one look at the shocking tableau and quits the scene in disgust
while Mother Victorious smirks at her.

as Officer Bracke when "Friday the 13th" airs on various HBO channels ***
-- "Friday the 13th" will air from August 21st - September 2010
on both East and West Coast feeds of HBO, HBO2, HBO Zone and HBO Latino
premium cable channels
Richard joined
Jared Padalecki ("Supernatural," "Thomas Kinkade's
Christmas Cottage"),
Derek Mears ("The Hills have Eyes II"), and
Nana
Visitor ("Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"), among others, in the
Platinum
Dunes produced reimagining of the 1980's horror hit, "Friday the
13th."
Richard plays Officer Bracke in the movie, which is set between
the events of the first and second "Friday the 13th" films; Pamela (Nana
Visitor) Voorhees, Jason's mad, mad mother and the actual killer of
the first film, is dead and already enshrined in Jason's (Derek Mears)
hovel hideaway, while Jason is all grown up and ready to take up his mother's
machete.
Jared Padalecki plays Clay Miller, a journalist drawn to Camp
Crystal Lake in search of his missing sister; Richard's Bracke represents
the long arm of the Law in the Crystal Lake area and, while sympathetic,
cannot offer Clay further help with the unsubstantiated disappearances.
As is usually the case with the Crystal Lake constabulary, Bracke soon
crosses paths with Jason and is quickly -- and cringe-inducingly -- dispatched.

Danvers, the weak-willed boyfriend of Rose (Toni Collette) Feller.
Jim sees Rose as the kind of woman he could fall in love and settle down
with, but succumbs to temptation in the form of Rose's 'party girl' sister
Maggie
(Cameron Diaz).
Finding Jim and Maggie en flagrante pushes Rose to the end of her rope,
triggering her breakup with Jim and her estrangement from Maggie. Both
sisters begin journeys of their own and find inner strengths they didn't
know they had -- and in the process, find a grandmother (Ella, played
by Shirley MacLaine) and, eventually, each other once more.

Richard's 2006 film for CTV and Lifetime TV, "In God's Country,"
airs on the Lifetime channel in September *** -- "In God's Country"
airs
Saturday, September 11th at 11:00am ET on Lifetime.
Richard plays Church Bishop Josiah Leavitt, the polygamist husband
of Rowan's character, Judith Joseph. Judith is one of the charismatic
Leavitt's eight wives, and mother to four of his children in addition to
her own older daughter from a previous marriage. Several traumatic events
spur Judith to do the unthinkable -- flee her small community with her
children. Leavitt, of course, gives pursuit, luring Judith's oldest daughter
back home with promises he doesn't intend to keep. Judith has no choice
but to return home and make a stand.
"In God's Country" is produced by Shaftesbury Films Inc in association
with Colossal Entertainment, Salient Point Productions, and CTV

to SyFy for September 23rd, 2010 daytime marathon ***-- SyFy
is
airing an 8-episode Season 4 & 1 "Marathon" block of The Sentinel
from 8:00am to 4:00pm ET on Thursday, September 23rd, 2010.
Richard Burgi plays series lead Jim Ellison, a former
Army Ranger now working as a detective for the Cascade PD in his Washington
State hometown. Ellison finds himself almost overwhelmed when his dormant,
and repressed, hyperactive senses are brought back online after a period
of solitude on a remote stakeout. Anthropology doctoral candidate Blair
Sandburg (Garett Maggart), whose chosen field of research is "Sentinels"
-- people with such enhanced senses -- has the answers Ellison needs to
control and work with his powerful and unpredictable abilities. Ellison's
long-suffering captain, Simon Banks (Bruce A. Young) helps Ellison
and Sandburg make the most of Ellison's sensory advantage by watching their
backs and keeping their extrasensory escapades under the radar as much
as possible.

SyFy film SUPER ERUPTION now in post-production for 2011 premiere ***--
Richard returned to his "Darklight" stomping-grounds in Sofia, Bulgaria
in May to film "Super Eruption" for SyFy. He was joined
by Juliet Aubrey (Helen Cutter of BBC's "Primeval") in the mega-disaster
epic, with Matt Codd ("Epoch," Shark Hunter," "Dragon Dynasty")
at the helm as director.
Set in Yellowstone National Park, "Super Eruption" revolves around
an eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano and inevitable horrific high-stakes
aftermath. Richard plays Yellowstone park ranger and firefighter Charlie
Young, who teams with Aubrey's vulcanologist Kate to try to
save lives -- in some ways, not unlike his role in "Firestorm: Last Stand
at Yellowstone," in which he played a Yellowstone firefighter battling
a voracious inferno.
Aubrey's Kate appears to be a love interest for Charlie in addition
to her role as vulcanologist. Joining them in the core cast are MyAnna
Buring as Charlie's daughter Claire and Alex Wyndham (ROME)
as Josh, a fellow park ranger.
The film is intended for SyFy's Saturday night movie lineup and, given
post-production requirements of effects-heavy films, will most likely premiere
in 2011.

hit series NCIS, starring Mark Harmon ***-- Richard appeared
in
"Patriot Down," the 23rd episode of the show's seventh season
and first part of the 2-part season finale. "Patriot Down" aired on Tuesday,
May 18th at 8:00pm ET.
Richard plays Randall Hammond, father of Tyler. When first we
meet the Hammonds, Tyler has been beaten by a pair of Navy men and Randall
is reading all and sundry the "entitled rich man" riot act. We soon discover
that Tyler was beaten because he date-raped the sailors' female crewmate,
Petty Officer 2nd Class Caylen Burroughs. As the case unfolds, we learn
both Tyler and his father raped Caylen.
The Burroughs/Hammond investigation provides a reason for Special Agent
Lara Macy to have returned from overseas in time to meet her demise, which
is the entree to the Hammond appetizer. Her gruesome murder is a message
to Special Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) from a group of old enemies eager
to see Gibbs brought down.
"Gibbs makes shocking discoveries while investigating a respected colleague's
murder on the next episode of NCIS," said the CBS website, which the episode
press release expanded upon:
"Patriot Down" - When a colleague's murder sends shockwaves through
the team, Gibbs uncovers a surprising link to the crime, on NCIS, Tuesday,
May 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Rena
Sofer ("24") reprises her role as attorney Margaret Allison Hart.
Marco Sanchez reprises his role as Alejandro Rivera, a Mexican justice
department official. Richard Burgi ("Harper's Island") guest stars as
Randall Hammond, a suspect's father. Dylan Bruno ("Numb3rs")
guest stars as Jason Paul Dean, a disgraced ex-Army Ranger.

Lie To Me, starring Tim Roth ***-- Richard appeared in "Bullet
Bump," the 17th episode of the show's second season. "Bullet Bump"
aired on Monday, July 26th at 8:00pm ET.
Richard plays Governor Charles Brooks, who is described in casting
sides as "In his 40s, he's the Governor of Virginia, a polished and charismatic
dynamo who has the right stuff to go the distance -- all the way to the
White House. When a pretty young campaign volunteer is slain in an assassination
attempt apparently aimed at him, Brooks is grilled by Lightman about the
incident. However, Brooks just may be what he seems, namely, an honest
and conscientious man who had no knowledge of the crime. But Brooks also
may have deliberately blinded himself to the sleazy and unpleasant shenanigans
right under his nose, and when he's finally forced to face the truth, it's
a shattering revelation..."

secures Domestic distribution rights to "Wheelmen," announces planned DVD
release in August 2010 *** -- The long-awaited Region 1 DVD of "Wheelmen"

Richard plays Nick Torino, a former hotshot ambulance driver
now running Venture Limousine, a floundering Los Angeles limousine company.
With an absentee boss and a crew of eccentric chauffeurs, Nick has his
hands full, and a pair of seemingly unconnected jobs complicates his life
in ways only imagined in nightmares. Nick and ne'er-do-well Andy wind up
squiring a flaky and paranoid ex-Secret Service agent around and soon become
embroiled in his attempt to prevent a bizarre kidnapping of the U.S. Vice
President. The fact that Venture Limousine has been awarded the contract
to chauffeur the V.P. and his party around Los Angeles further complicates
the imbroglio.
As if putting up with his colleagues wasn't enough, Nick comes to work
the morning of the Vice Presidential three-ring circus and discovers a
little boy from his past named Arthur waiting patiently for him in his
office. After noticing several bruises on Arthur's neck, Nick drops the
boy off at Social Services where he meets Gwen, a loving social worker
assigned to Arthur's case. Things get complicated as Nick falls for Gwen,
and little Arthur feels the rush of jealously as he too has a crush on
her.

Lifetime TV movie "Torn Apart" now available on DVD *** --
Richard plays Dr. Billy Westin, husband of Dr. Vicki (Tia Carrere)
Westin. Filmed in New Orleans in May 2004, the film follows Vicki Westin's
harrowing race against time with her family's lives in the balance.
Dale Midkiff plays Jerry Bender, a man unhinged by the death
of his son and his wife's vegetative state, both the result of injuries
sustained in a wreck. Though part of the surgical team treating Bender's
wife, Vicki found her hands tied by bureacratic red tape and bean-counting
and thus unable to act quickly enough to save Bender's wife.
Bender, of course, doesn't distinguish between surgeon and administration
and so includes Vicki in his revenge plot. The other players he quickly
disposes of; for Vicki, a different fate awaits -- Bender abducts Billy
and their daughter and gives Vicki a choice -- she can have one or the
other back, but not both, and she has 12 hours to decide.
Following a string of tantalizing clues, Vicki gets closer and closer
to Bender... but not close enough. With time running out, she choses their
daughter, gambling she'll have enough time to rescue Billy before the 12
hour deadline is up.
