CouverCon '98 -- the second Sentinel event of 1998 -- was a benefit in aid of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. The event was held at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in downtown Vancouver, BC over the weekend of October 23-25, 1998. Richard Burgi and his costars Garett Maggart, Anna Galvin and Bruce A. Young were joined by Sentinel producers Danny Bilson and Paul DeMeo as well as supporting cast members Ken Earl and Ryf Van Rij. Sentinel guest stars Leigh Taylor-Young and Tim Thomerson also appeared, as did a host of Sentinel supporting cast members and production staff. The proceeds donated to the EGPAF were well in excess of US$50,000.

"The tragedy of AIDS is only heightened when it strikes our children, our most precious gift," said Richard Burgi, Detective James Ellison on the show. "I am very happy that, by appearing at Couver Con '98, I'll be able to contribute to a wonderful organization which helps sick children, and, at the same time thank our fans for their loyalty and support."
